The departure of Maryland for the Big Ten Conference is likely to be followed today by Rutgers and the gutting of the Atlantic Coast Conference worries one very formidable college coach.

"I think the ACC is vulnerable right now," Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski said Monday afternoon, taping his "Basketball and Beyond" show for Sirius XM Radio (via Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel). "I'm concerned about our conference."

NEW YORK — For Georgetown fans, the return of sophomore forward Otto Porter Jr. was the most anticipated storyline of the Hoyas' meeting with No. 13 UCLA Monday at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

For much of the rest of the nation, it was the long awaited debut of UCLA's highly touted 6-6 freshman Shabazz Muhammad, finally cleared to compete by NCAA officials who held him out of the season's first three games for violating amateurism rules.

Dunbar Coach Jerron Joe stepped to the lectern for his Turkey Bowl luncheon speech on Monday afternoon amid loud applause from the crowd at the Acela Club inside Verizon Center.

The applause continued when he praised his players, coaches and the Dunbar administration, and when he acknowledged Anacostia Coach Cato June, who he'll face in Thursday's game.
