'Pure Land' tour: For visitors virtually exploring Buddhist cave, it's pure fun

Beginning Saturday, and for the next eight days, it will be the coolest thing in town. The Smithsonian's Sackler Gallery is hosting a "digital cave," a fully immersive, three-dimensional tour of an elaborately painted, more-than 1,300-year-old Buddhist cave in northwest China. Using technology developed in Sydney, the "Pure Land" installation is contained in a tent, in the garden courtyard of the Sackler.

Showtime's Stephen King series migrates to CBS

Premium cable network Showtime's Stephen King project "Under the Dome" has migrated to CBS – which owns Showtime.

It's just like that series "The Tudors" – only the opposite. That one was developed at CBS, until they realized that while England's King Henry VIII had eight wives – all to the good – "The Tudors" would be a heavily serialized crunchy-gravel drama series,and took a pass, and "The Tudors" migrated to Showtime.
