That same Thursday night of the "30 Rock" series finale, NBC will toss struggling newsmag "Rock Center with Brian Williams" from the net's once glorious Thursday 10 p.m. timeslot (and home to "ER") to move in an actual scripted drama series — and a doc drama at that.

One Direction is getting its own perfume
Nov 30th 2012, 20:19

Following the teen-pop-star-with-a-perfume path carved out by Justin Bieber, One Direction is getting its own fragrance.

Women's Wear Daily reports that the boy band's female-targeted scent — Celebritology-proposed name: That's What Makes You Smell Beautiful — will be released next fall. Which seems like kind of a long time to continue living without smelling like Niall or Zayn. Hopefully the band's popularity and musk-potential will not wane before then, especially since they also have a movie coming out around the same time. (Imagine: you could go see a movie about One Direction while smelling like One Direction.)

David Letterman: 2012 Kennedy Center Honors
Nov 30th 2012, 15:46

The man leaps out of the shadows and into the light, a silver blur in a white shirt and violet tie. He bounds across the stage toward his desk, brakes and turns and scampers back stage right, grabs the microphone by its cord and swings it around, letting it thunk on the ground next to his caramel-colored loafers as the CBS Orchestra plays frantically. The audience is on its feet. A fake cityscape frames the man as he hits his mark: a red sticker on the iridescent-blue stage floor of the Ed Sullivan Theater in midtown Manhattan.

Okay. That feels better.

"Damn Right," his Grammy-winning anthem, is stapled to the man like "The Thrill Is Gone" is to B.B. King, like "I'm a Man" is to Muddy Waters.
