Nov 29th 2012, 22:23 Fairfax City's relatively new police headquarters is pretty well lit and gives all the appearances of an official government building. And speaking of well-lit ... Someone drove a car through a garage door in the rear of the Fairfax City police headquarters early Thursday, chugged through the sallyport and then plowed right through the other garage door, basically destroying them both. This put the car inside the gated police parking lot behind headquarters, Sgt. Joe Johnson said. But the driver was able to pull up to the gate, which automatically grants egress, and drive away. Council committee voted Thursday to strengthen city laws against synthetic forms of the drug. Under a comprehensive crime bill approved by the Judiciary Committee, members voted to classify substitute forms of marijuana such as "KZ" and "Spice" as Schedule 1 narcotics, which are subject to more stringent criminal penalties. The committee also reclassified Gamma-hydroxybutryric acid – commonly known as GHB or the "date-rape drug" – and various chemicals used to produced cathinones, known as bath salts, as Schedule 1 drugs.
