Virginia couple marries aboard 'Love Float' at Rose Parade

A Virginia couple was married Tuesday aboard the "Love Float" of the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif.

Gerald Sapienza and Nicole Angelillo, of Chesapeake, Va., tied the knot during the flower-bedecked parade, which is a New Year's Day tradition.

Maryland man wins $3.8 million at New Jersey casino

A Maryland man won a nearly $4 million jackpot while playing a slot machine at an Atlantic City casino.

The man was on vacation in the New Jersey shore town when he visited the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Sunday, casino officials told the Press of Atlantic City.

Lloyd Elliott, who served as president of George Washington University for more than two decades until his retirement in 1988, died Tuesday, according to university officials. He was 94.

He died at George Washington University Hospital, a university spokeswoman said.
