In that interview, host Bob Schieffer asked Affleck if he would ever consider running for Senate, an issue of potential urgency if Sen. John Kerry becomes Secretary of State. "Well, one never knows. I'm not one to get into conjecture," the actor-turned-filmmaker said, noting that we don't even know whether Kerry will definitely be tapped to take on Sec. Hillary Clinton's job, "I do have a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country, it's a big deal for me to come down here and be on your show that I've watched so much.
