Penn State's Bill O'Brien is target for NFL teams, report says
Dec 31st 2012, 13:55

Might Bill O'Brien be headed back to the NFL?

One of the best college football stories in the fall was the rebuilding of the Penn State program after the devastating Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse scandal. O'Brien came to State College from the New England Patriots, tasked with replacing a tarnished legend in Joe Paterno. O'Brien was the Big Ten Coach of the year after leading the Nittany Lions to an 8-4 record. Because of the Sandusky/Paterno scandal, though, Penn State is ineligible for bowls for four seasons and college coaches are an unusually hot commodity as NFL coaching jobs open up beginning today.

Redskins-Cowboys best and worst
Dec 31st 2012, 04:38

Best and worst moments from Washington's 28-18 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the biggest D.C. football result in who knows how long.

Best Play: Rob Jackson. That was the play that put nightmare visions of Pete Kozma and Jaroslav Halak temporarily on ice. That was the play that rescued all of greater Washington from a terrifying final few minutes, as the Redskins took the ball back and rammed it into the end zone to clinch a win and an NFC East title.
