Oct 28th 2012, 03:09

Reading through blogs and recent statements from the National Weather Service, I'm presently most impressed by two things about Sandy: 1) Its incredible size and its associated wind field 2) The amount of water it's going to push ashore at the beaches

Oct 28th 2012, 02:52

About 100 kids in the Landon High student section tossed baby powder into the air right before the third quarter against Bullis on Saturday night, and the large white cloud drifted from the stands onto the field. The first two possessions of the third quarter were played in the midst of the sweet scent, and it seemed to anger Landon running back Myles Allen , who pushed his team to not play soft all evening.

2012 World Series: No one always overcomes pressure, but everyone tries
Oct 28th 2012, 02:33

DETROIT — Somewhere there is a vial of secret serum that inoculates ballplayers against the pressures of the playoffs. Maybe it is hidden under a loose plank in Carlos Beltran's back porch or disguised as motor oil for one of Reggie Jackson's vintage automobiles. In wake of Chargers Stickum accusations, some NFL alums say cheating is part of the game
Oct 28th 2012, 00:59

Years ago, Bill Romanowski came to work early. There were preparations to be made, advantages to pursue, corners to be cut.

The longtime NFL linebacker bent some rules and broke others, and now that he has been retired for nearly a decade, he has no problem admitting it.
