George's Dec 24th 2012, 17:46 A man was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Prince George's County, authorities said. The man was traveling northbound between Annapolis Road and Riverdale Road in Landover at about 11 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a large tree in the median strip of the parkway, according to county police. Metro to stay open later for Sunday's Redskins game Dec 24th 2012, 15:11 Metro said that it will stay open an extra hour on Sunday for fans to use the rail system as they go to FedEx field. The game starts at 8:20 p.m. The extra hour of service is paid for by an agreement with the Washington Redskins. Metro typically closes at midnight on Sundays. Read full article >> Man found fatally shot in car in Capitol Hill Dec 24th 2012, 15:02 A District man was found fatally shot early Monday in a vehicle parked on a Capitol Hill street, according to D.C. police. Officer Anthony Clay, a police spokesman, said patrol officers responding to a call of shots fired about 2 a.m. found the man sitting in the driver's seat.
