Officials: suicide blast outside a key U.S. military base kills 3 Afghans

KABUL – A suicide bomb attack near a key U.S. military base in Afghanistan killed three Afghan civilians on Wednesday, according to officials.

At least seven Afghans were wounded in the strike outside the Chapman base in southeastern Khost province near the border with Pakistan. There were no immediate reports of casualties among the foreign troops.
