Alexander went from practice squad player to back up lineman, special teams contributor and eventually special teams captain and linebacker. This season he leads the league with 19 special teams tackles, according to the NFL. Ryan announced that Mark Sanchez will be the starting quarterback Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Greg McElroy, who was named the starter when Sanchez was benched last week, suffered a concussion at some point during his 11-sack nightmare against the San Diego Chargers.
