Read full article >>  | Boy, 16, killed in Prince George's County Jan 20th 2013, 21:00 A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed early Sunday in the Fort Washington neighborhood of Prince George's County, and police say they have substantial leads in the investigation. The victim was identified as Marcus Antonio Jones, who lived in Fort Washington about eight miles from where he was shot. Police said he was attacked about midnight as he walked from a house in the 7700 block of Webster Lane to a car. The area is near Branch Avenue and the Capital Beltway. Saturday night on U Street brought a mood that was closer to a New Year's Eve than the jubilant, celebratory Obama love-in of four years ago.
