The hammer dropped earlier today when the Terps announced that quarterback Devin Burns and wide receiver Marcus Leak would miss the rest of the season with injuries.

Maryland sent out its weekly injury report shortly after, and even without the six players currently out for the season, its plenty long. Heres the list heading into Saturdays ACC matchup at Boston College:

Oct 25th 2012, 22:41

You pull into the driveway of the stone mansion off a gravel road in Leesburg at 6:59 a.m. Wednesday morning. The garage is open. A light flickers on inside the kitchen.

Chewy and Moose, the adopted mutts, scamper out to do their business. Two cats nuzzle against your leg, begging for attention.

Oct 25th 2012, 21:48

How he beats you: Big, strong and athletic, the 6-foot, 242-pound Harrison is known as one of the fiercest hitters in the league. He attacks passers and ball carriers with a vengeance. Last season he recorded 59 tackles, nine sacks and two forced fumbles in 11 games. The year before, he recorded 100 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 16 games. Harrison missed the first four games of this season with injury and has just one sack in three games, but he remains a tough assignment.

Fantasy Football Week 8: Chris Johnson, Darren McFadden are on the rise
Oct 25th 2012, 20:50

Chris Johnson is not dead yet. At least not when he plays against the worst run defense in the league.

Johnson may never return to the form that earned him the NFLs rushing title in 2009, but CJ2K broke out with an 18-carry, 185-yard, 2-touchdown performance against the hapless Bills. The Colts run defense is not much better, so if you hung onto Johnson, plug him into your lineup and ride the streak while it lasts.

Bill Simmons rips the Wizards
Oct 25th 2012, 19:55

At the risk of turning this blog into a full-time ESPN personality transcription service, Id like to present some recent thoughts from Bill Simmons on the Wizards. Because any time one of the countrys most popular sports writers says a D.C. GMs personnel decision was the equivalent of pulling your pants down at work and exposing yourself to a female employee, well, I can hardly ignore that, right?

The Nationals need to wait to finalize their 2013 coaching staff until after Manager Davey Johnson's contract situation is settled.
